Compatibility

The standard FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor is part of the FreeStyle Libre 3 system. It can be used with a compatible FreeStyle Libre 3 reader or a compatible smartphone running the supported Libre app environment.

Abbott is phasing out the older FreeStyle Libre 3 app and recommends transitioning to the current Libre app with a new sensor. Always check Abbott's current smartphone and operating-system compatibility guidance before starting a sensor.

This standard Libre 3 sensor is not intended for use with automated insulin delivery systems. Customers who need pump integration should review current FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus compatibility with their healthcare provider and pump manufacturer.

Condition and expiration

This listing is for a new, factory-sealed FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor. Exact expiration dates and sensor serial numbers vary by inventory. Do not use a sensor after its printed expiration date or if its packaging is damaged or opened.

Because certain Libre 3 serial numbers are under an active FDA Class I recall, every sensor should be checked against Abbott's recall tool before use.

Important use information

The Libre 3 sensor is worn on the back of the upper arm as directed by Abbott. Fingerstick testing may still be required if your sensor readings or alarms do not match your symptoms or if the system instructs you to check blood glucose.
