FreeStyle Libre 3 Reader - dedicated display for FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors. Use the reader when you prefer a separate handheld device instead of relying on a compatible smartphone.

The current sensor recall does not apply to the FreeStyle Libre 3 reader. Abbott's recall concerns certain Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus sensors; readers and apps are not affected.

Important compatibility information

The reader works with both the standard FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.

You cannot use the reader and smartphone app interchangeably with the same active sensor. If you start a sensor with the reader, you cannot then start that same sensor with the app. Changing display methods requires a new sensor.

Charging and care

Use the USB cable and power adapter included with the reader kit. Keep the reader and charging accessories dry and follow Abbott's instructions for charging, storage and cleaning.

Does the Libre 3 Reader work with Libre 3 Plus?

Yes. Abbott confirms that FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors are compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 3 reader.

Does the reader work with standard Libre 3 sensors?

Can I use the reader and phone app at the same time?

How much data does the reader store?

Can I upload reader data to LibreView?

Yes. Connect the reader to a computer using the USB cable and upload through LibreView.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
