These are factory-sealed, unopened retail boxes of Contour Next blood glucose test strips (70 count) from Ascensia. Nothing about the strips themselves is different from a full-dated box. The printed expiration date is simply closer, and that is the entire reason the price drops. Pick your expiration window above: the nearer the date, the lower the price.

What short dated actually means

Meter compatibility

These strips work with every Contour Next meter: the Contour Next EZ, the Contour Next One, Contour Next Link and Contour Next Link 2.4. They do not work with the older Bayer Contour meter, which uses Contour strips rather than Contour Next.

How close is the expiration date?
It matches the rung you pick above. Each option is labelled with the actual month printed on the box, and that label rolls forward automatically as stock moves, so what you see is what ships.

Are these genuine Contour Next strips?
Yes. Factory-sealed US retail boxes, stored in a climate-controlled warehouse and lot tracked. We never buy Medicare or Medicaid labelled stock.

Will they still read accurately?
Ascensia rates the strips to full specification up to the printed expiration date. A short-dated box performs the same as a long-dated one until that date passes.

Why does the carton say not for retail sale, or Rx only?
Some Contour Next cartons carry that print because of how the manufacturer routes the box, not because the strips are different or restricted. The strips inside are identical.

What if I will not use them all before they expire?
Pick a longer window. The 3 month and 2 month rungs cost a little more and give you more runway. At two tests a day, 70 strips is a little over a month.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
